UPDATES.......events, life, etc.

Hello friends ❤
This will be a long and photo heavy post so sit back,
grab and cup of coffee and ENJOY THE RIDE!!!

Our daughter Kasi graduated from Middle school this year.  I can't believe she
is starting HIGH SCHOOL!!  How did this happen????
We are however, so proud of all her accomplishments.  She earned her certificate
for having completed the three year IB program for French in Advanced, Honors and a gifted class with amazing grades.

Here are some pictures from her prom.  She looked like a princess.....

Pedrito doing her hair....
and Maggie doing her makeup.....
Pedrito cut 4" off her hair first, blowdried it then used a large curling iron.  He clipped
all the curls and told me to take out the clips right before she left for the event.
Here are some photos right before she left the house:
Of course since her hair is VERY HEAVY and long, the curls turned into some
amazing beach waves by the time she left for the party.  It's exactly the look Pedrito wanted
to accomplish :)
Here she is getting into the limo:
can you see the difference in the curls???

(Don't mind the blue color polish on the toes in this picture.....these were taken
when we got home from shopping and she was trying it all on together)
The dress is from Nordstrom and the shoes from a local boutique.

Here is her hair the day after.  She's always wanted a "V" shape and after
her second hair cut, it's looking FABULOUS!

Next up is my birthday week.......woooooo hooooo!!!!!
It started with "date night" with our friends Norma and Jay.
This couple is amazing....I can't even begin to tell you how special they are to us.
Our boys have played baseball together for the past four years and we are truly
blessed to have them in our life.
Norma and Jay have been married for almost 30 years.....such an inspiration!!!
Great friend make such a HUGE difference ❤

and here is a photo collage of my birthday night (June 1st)
celebrating with the three most important people in my life.....and our two pups of course ;)
MY FAMILY!!!
This year, I turned 45 and let me just say....
I FEEL FABULOUS!!!!!

and to finish off my birthday week....I took a ME DAY off from work
and got my hair and nails DONE!!!!!
There is nothing like the feeling of a fresh cut and color - woot woot!!!

Finally, Saturday was such an amazing day
(do I always say everyday is AMAZING? lol)
well it was.......
I met up with my bestie and her family for Oliva's baptism class.
I don't know if I share with you all or not, but the day of the baby shower,
my bestie shared with everyone that she had chosen ME to be Olivia's
godmother......She surprised me with a gift...it was a shirt that said
"GODMOTHER" and when I opened it and read it, I cried!!
Tery and I have been friends for 17 years.
She is my bestie, my sister.....I LOVE her with all my heart!!

Here is a picture of the godfather and I with Olivia, my bestie and I
with Olivia and of course, me with my beautiful goddaughter!!
It is a true blessing and I can't wait to share this special even
with all of you.

After the class, I met up with my friend Norma for some coffee
at our favorite place "Starbucks" of course.
We sat there for more than two hours just chit chatting.....about
our new journey with Origami Owl, family, life, etc.
We have such an amazing bond!!

I have to say, I am truly blessed to have these two friends in my life and
even more blessed to have ALL OF YOU!!!!
I am ONE LUCKY GIRL!!!

Life is good....God is good!!!

Weight loss updates coming soon.......THIS journey is AMAZING!

Weight loss and Beachbody!!

For the last 16 months I've been on a very important journey which focused
100% on ME!

I've stepped back from crafting to focus on my health.
During this time, I have lost 80 lbs.  I'm not going to lie....
It's been hard and trying at times but
I DID IT!!!

I personally know of people that (behind my back of course) have said I WOULD NEVER do it
but I'm here to prove them wrong!!! (best feeling EVER!!!)

Here is a current picture of me from Saturday:

I've set myself a goal for 2015 to lose another 25'ish lbs.....maybe 30 lbs
and TONE UP!!

I've started the BeachBody 21 Day fix program today with my sister in loves
cousin and let me just say....SHE'S AMAZING!!
WOW she inspires me every single day.
She actually approached me because she wants me to join her team
and become a Beachboy coach but first, I want to try it out
so I can inspires others with my story.

Here is a picture of DAY 1....

It's just the beginning my friends.....stay tuned for more updates!!!

The best part about this journey is that I FEEL HEALTHY!!
The compliments I get on a daily basis keeps me so motivated.

Teacher Appreciation - My Creative Time Alumni project ❤

Happy Friday!!

So super excited to be back on the My Creative Time blog today as an
Alumni Guest Designer!!  How cool is that?

Since it's teacher appreciation week, I decided to create a project
for this special occasion....

My card base is made using the new Bunch of Stitched Star Dies.  I added the sentiment
from the new You're My Hero Stamp Set which was ideal for a teacher.  The word "teacher" comes
from the Love To Learn Dies + Stamps as well as the apple die.  Then for the
Chalkboard "ledge", I used the window sill die from the Stitched Window Dies & Accessories
and I love the way the apple and the word "teacher" just sits on it.
Using white ink and a dauber,
I distressed the black paper to give it the "chalkboard" appearance.

The pencil holder is a recycled candle jar that I cleaned out.  I wrapped Stampin Up
ribbon and using a medium clothes pin, I added the
tag which I made using the XL Label Die and Stitched XL Label Die.  The sentiment
is Enjoy the Little Things Stamp Set also from the new release.
I glued a piece of twine to the clothes pin, as well as the card, to bring a little more
 yellow to the project.

Thank you Miss Emma for having me back
as an Alumni Guest Designer for My Creative Time!!
I sure had a great time!!

Now I leave you with a few close up pictures of the projects.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!
Hugs to all,
T

Beautiful day!!! (My Creative Time projects ❤)

Our mother/daughter Origami Owl event this weekend was a total success!!
Our home was full of family and friends.....
the smiles and laughters were priceless!!

My dear friend, Norma, just launched her Origami Owl business.
The crafter in me (of course) had to make her some special little gifts
to decorate her table.

I knew I wanted mason jars and chalkboard items.  I also wanted the colors
teal, pink and yellow to match the "Origami Owl" theme
so these are the items I came up with:
The frame and easel are from Michaels which I painted with acrylic and
chalkboard paint

The mason jars already came in pink and blue (they also had lavender and green).
I used the straw to add the chalkboard inspiration piece.
I also added the opposite color twine
on the edge of the jar .....

I used the following items from MY CREATIVE TIME ❤

Here are some pictures from our party:
