Scraproom / Craftroom updates ♥♥

I've been working on revamping my room for a few months now and I have to say.....I LOVE IT!!!  The decluttering process has been long, but I've gotten rid of about half my things and it feels great.  Being in a room dedicated mainly to Project Life is amazing.  My wall color remains "Whole Wheat" which is my favorite.  I kept the same white furniture and re-arranged it.  I took the desk out of the middle of the room and lowered it back to a regular desk which is waaaaaay better!!!  My accent color is now Tiffany Blue ...aaahhh I love everything "Tiffany" ♥♥

I will be making a video once it's all complete but for now, I wanted to share some pictures of a few things I posted on Instagram last night.

Wanted to wish all my followers a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!  May your day be full of love, happiness and lots of blessing.

***Before I get going, I wanted to share a GIVEAWAY that Emma from My Creative Time is hosting PLUS a sale!!!  Follow her blog hop starting HERE,leave a comment and enter to win an HSN PROJECT LIFE BLUSH EDITION!!!  How awesome is that?  The giveaway ends Sunday, May 12, 2013 at midnight PST!!!  Good LUCK!!!

Hugs, T

As to my Ikea Expedit unit:   I originally had the pink Expedit cubes.  One evening, I had a vision and came up with the idea to cover them.    The best part is, I already had the fabric!!  I made eight covers and sixteen ruffles.  I must say.....I have become a ruffle expert lol    I'm in love with the ADORABLE Shabby Chic look.  My Expedit has become my favorite piece in the room and it's the very first thing you see when you walk in ♥♥  (I will be making a video soon on how I altered them)
This next picture features my desk top.  LOVE these organizational items from Home Goods.  I would have preferred them in white but they actually look great in black and if I get bored later, I can always paint them.....  Inside the drawers I have general inks, small embellishments, Zing embossing powers and glitters, acrylic stamp blocks and roller date stamps.  The middle unit has an opening at the bottom which is where I keep my wood veneers in a clear plastic organizer.

On top of one of the cubbies, I have all my Hero Arts ink.  As I mentioned in a past post, I'm in LOVE with these inks.......they are by far the BEST in the market ♥♥

And last but not least, these ADORABLE Mini Latte bowls from Anthropologie.  Thanks to my scrappy friend Caz, I picked these up and I LOVE THEM.  I have two yellow ones, two teal ones, two orange ones and two white ones.  They are great for storing little goodies like these GORGEOUS NEON SEQUINS ♥♥♥    They sit right in front of my desk on a picture ledge from Ikea. (you can see them in the desk top picture above)

I really love having everything organized and labeled....it makes such a huge difference.

♥♥ New Journaling favorites for my Project Life ♥♥

Last week I placed my very first order with Emma over at My Creative Time.
Let me just say........ ♥♥ LOOOOOOOVE ♥♥

For a few weeks there, my mojo went on vacation somewhere far far away lol but on Wednesday when I received my order from Emma, it came back woooo hoooo.  (Ssshhhh.....I think it was inside the package hee hee)  Anywho, I wanted to share these products with all my Project Life friends because OMG, they are amazing!

The card die is a perfect 3x4 size therefore it only fits two pockets of my Becky Higgins, Design A sleeves but I'm OK with that.  I totally LOVE the stitching look around the card.

As for the coordinating stamp set (that of course stamps perfectly onto the coordinating die cut) you can also stamp them on any Becky Higgins card.

Soooooo, if you are looking for cute journaling stamps and/or a journaling card die for your Project Life, YOU HAVE to check these out.  You won't be disappointed.

Click HERE for the direct link to My Creative Time!!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  I will be playing with all my new goodies.

Hugs and blessings,
T

Some samples using a couple of the Becky Higgins cards as well as cards cut using the die.
(Oh by the way, the Hero Arts Shadow Inks are my FAVORITE INK PADS!!! They work GREAT
with Emma's stamps ♥)

and since I was shopping at Emma's, I picked up this ADORABLE stamp/die set
which is also perfect for my Project Life ♥♥♥

Quick Altered Canvas Bag

So I'm totally in love with these cute Canvas Bags that Studio Calico packages all my little goodies in.  I've been collecting them so I can alter a few for Teacher Appreciation week.

Tonight when I came home from work, I had my Studio Calico box waiting for me.  When I opened it and saw yet another canvas bag, I stopped what I was doing and quickly altered one.  I'm meeting a local friend tomorrow and knew I wanted to give her a few goodies so I quickly made this.  It literally took me twenty minutes to put together.

The supplies I used:

Canvas bag from SC
Glitz Chevron roller stamp (gosh I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!)
Hero Arts Ink (Tide Pool)
Ali Edwards stamps
Prima packaging (for the tag)
Prima resin flowers
Heidi Swapp Gold mist (sprayed the bag in a few corners. Since I sprayed it in a box, I dipped the tag into the paint and since it was corrugated cardboard, it gave it a cool effect.)
Basic Grey flower
Wood clothespin (to hold the tag)

Project Life update coming soon!!!

HELLO ♥ HELLO ♥!!!!!

Yes I'm here!!  Although the past three weeks have been full of trials, I'm here and very grateful!!!  God is GOOD!!!!  We've had a couple of ER visits, sprained ankles, flat tires, migraines, keys locked in cars and lots and lots of nebulizer treatments, etc. but I've kept on smiling :)  If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen it all lol

Anywho, I'm caught up with Project Life through Week 8 and almost complete with Week 9.  In the upcoming videos and blog posts of my Project Life pages, you will see our "Life".  I love documenting the little moments, and even though they are not all happy/good ones, it truly is what life is all about.

I wanted to make a quick post today sharing a sneak peek of Week 9.  I think it's been one of my favorites so far.  Every Sunday, I gather my pictures, bring out my PL planner and plan the pictures for the week. This past Sunday was no different. I was making 8x10 collages of my pictures and thought...."now HOW am I going to use these pictures with all these crazy colors" LOL I never really have this problem as one or two colors ALWAYS stand out and I go from that......Not this week!!!
Well, one picture caught my eye and it was one of my daughter wearing a light teal blue color shirt with grey stripes. I printed that ONE picture in color and the rest are black and white.  I knew I wanted to use all my grey & teal colored cards in the Studio Calico Project Life Feb kit (or at least a lot of them) and this was the PERFECT opportunity to do so.

I will have to do a two part video for February PL because I have the last week of January and all of February to share.  Stay tuned for that soon.

Hope everyone is having a blessed week!!!
