It's been a very busy weekend - finishing up some last minute shopping, gift wrapping, cooking, washing clothes and getting my BBTB challenge done for this week. The girls have really done an AMAZING job on this challenge so make sure you hop on over to the BBTB to get inspired.
Here is my take on the challenge which was to use the gifts from the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge.
New Arrival Cricut cart.
Cuttlebug: Swiss dots and Swirls embossing folders
Sizzix mini tags
All these products I purchased from HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK. They still have a sale on cartridges so make sure to go check them out.
I also used DCWV paper, Swarovski crystals, clear button, MM eyelet, corner punch and Melissa Frances rub ons.
I am so excited to join Kazan and Laura in Sketch #15 over at 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU!!!! (HI GIRLS!!!) The other day I made a cute pillow box Regina designed for THE CUTTING CAFE and I wanted to use the same colors for this sketch.
The stamp on this card is also from the NEW YEAR COLLECTION found over at THE CUTTING CAFE!! These printable stamps are just awesome and will be available for purchase soon.
Hopefully I will be joining in on a sketch at least once a month - thanks again girls for such an amazing blog!!! I also want to give a big TOOT to all those amazing designers you have on the DT - their work TOTALLY ROCKS!!!!
Well OK not quite BUT.........I am in love with these new printable stamps from THE CUTTING CAFE - you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!! Here are a few cards I made and one has a matching little treat bag.
So last night I was up until 3:30 am finishing up the teachers Christmas gifts. I wanted to make them each a personalized altered Clothes pin. Although they are all the same, they each have different colors, papers and flowers. I can't pick a favorite - I love them all.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
(THESE CLOTHES PINS ARE THE LARGE ONES - SAME SIZE AS THE BARE ELEMENTS)
My kids have been invited to a birthday party. This little girl is just so very special to my son. He has become very close to her in class and loves to help her out. It was perfect since this weeks BBTB challenge was to use the BIRTHDAY GIRL cut from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge. I also used my new Hello Kitty Cartridge. I am sure you are going to LOVE all of the other projects using this cut so head on over to the BBTB by clicking HERE.
Here I am.....it's Saturday night.....I am trying to recuperate from yet ANOTHER migraine!!!!! I missed my very good friends annual tree trimming party due to my 4 hour nap because of the migraine. Feeling a little better now (thank God) so I decided to make this pillow box since I am falling behind on my projects.
The pillow box is one of many beautiful boxes my sis Regina designed for THE CUTTING CAFE. The girls over there have really done beautiful project with her designs so make sure and check them out.
I wanted to make this project different. I am not to much of a BLUE person so I wanted to challenge myself. I love the blue, yellow and white combination of this project.
This Pazzles machine is just so ................... hhhhhmmmmm ..................... PAZZLE-ISH-OUS!!!! (Wink - DeeDee we haven't said this is a while - hehehehe) I have been trying to figure it out little by little. The other night I downloaded the SWIRLS font from ScrapNFonts and I used one of the swirls for this project.
Here are some of the things I purchased from HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK: PAZZLES MACHINE Prima Flowers Diamond Stickles Diamond Glaze (I put it over the yellow swirl) They still have an amazing sale of the Cricut cartridges so stop by and check it out!!!
My sweet friend KATE (and fellow Hallmark Ladybug designer) has inspired me with her "Flower Middles". Not only did she explained to me how she makes them, she mailed me samples of the different techniques and different brads she uses. Her work is totally awesome - thanks KATE!!!!! One more thing.....the swirl cut was also inspired by the swirls you use on your amazing layouts - thanks again for all your inspiration.
Here is another altered clothes pin I made for one of the teachers. I painted it, covered with pattern paper, distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distressing ink and added the flower and brad. The brad has stickles (thanks Kate for your amazing flower middle ideas) and I also added some rhinestones. The tag is from Sizzix cut from chipboard. I didn't personalize it because the teacher is getting married soon and I didn't know what name she was going to use. I told her she could just hand write it in.
I will be making these altered clothes pins for the teachers for Christmas.
