MONOGRAM CARDS

Here is a project I did for THE CUTTING CAFE!!! I used the Greeting Card Folder cutting file. Since I embellished my cards with ribbons, I made only 4 A2 size cards and matching envelopes. Regina has designed some really AMAZING printable stamps as well as cutting files at THE CUTTING CAFE so make sure and stop by.

I used my Cricut Cuttable Embossing Kit to create a personalized folder. I created the design in my Cricut Design Studio using the following carts: StoryBook (for the initials); Alphalicious (for the scallop oval) and Home Accents (for the Hummingbird). Once I had the size I wanted, I put the cuttable material on my mat, set my Deep Blade at 4.5, Pressure MAX and Multi-cut 2X. This was the very first time I tried making my very own embossing folder. I used one of my regular embossing folders as a "guide" of where all my cuts would go on the folder. Then I figured out that in order for the initials, scallops and bird to be my embossed items, I had to put the "Negative" of my image on the TOP of the folder and the "Positive" on the bottom. The Cardstock is DSWV and all the pattern paper is from the new DCWV Citrus stack. I also used my new Nesties (YAY - I finally figured out how to use them LOL)

I made this set for a VERY SPECIAL FRIEND - Connie Scott. The stamp you see posted (last picture) is a personalized stamp she sent me so that I can put it on all my projects - she is truly amazing!!! Thanks CONNIE - I totally LOVE my new stamp!!! Love ya!!!

CELEBRATION....

LIFE IS GOOD.....@ EIGHT......... BBTB CHALLENGE

Sometime I just want to create simple layouts and guess what......this challenge was IT!!!

My beautiful daughter Kasi just turned EIGHT on Friday, February 20th and we had a fabulous mother/daughter day together. I took the day off from work and I picked her up from school around 9:30 am (she had perfect attendance and I didn't want to mess it up for her) We spent the day shopping, had lunch with her aunt/godmother at a nice Cafe in Coral Gables and did MORE shopping!!!!! Around 4:00 pm we had our nails and toesies done. What an amazing DAY!!! Ever since she turned ONE - we have had this SPECIAL mother/daughter day together each year and we both totally look forward to it. Of course this is NOT the only mother/daughter day we have.....we have MANY during the year (wink)

Soooo for this weeks BBTB challenge - the title couldn't have been more perfect!!!

FLUTTERBY..........

Hello everyone!!!! A few weeks ago I received an email from Krista of SWEETARTS PAPERIE that I was selected to be the March guest designer. I was overwhelmed by the excitement. WHAT AN HONOR. Thanks Krista.

When I received the kit I could not stop looking at the papers, ribbons, flowers, chipboard letters and buttons. My creative juices started flowing right away LOL This kit is truly amazing. Remember that her kits ARE LIMITED so if you like it, BUY IT QUICK!!!!! It's a great price for all the fabulous products you get - it really is worth every penny.

Out of this kit, I made the entire chipboard album, a card and a matching tag and still have scraps left over.

I hope you like all the projects I created with this amazing kit.

ALL THE TABS I used in this album are cut with the card stock in the kit using the FABULOUS FINDS CRICUT CARTRIDGE which I bought over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK.

Happy President's Day!!!! Today I have the day off and I will be crafting my little heart away - after my dentist appointment!! I have been making layouts lately and have had so much fun.

Here is the second page to my son's baseball layout I made last week.

This week over at the BBTB, our challenge was to make a Monogram type CARD using the B from Alphalicious (I know...I know..... I didn't follow instructions LOL - I made a layout).

LOVE.....BBTB challenge

YAY.....LOVE IS IN THE AIR BABY!!!!!! IT'S ALMOST VALENTINES DAY......HOPE EVERYONE IS FEELING THE LOVE!!!!!

This week over at the BBTB site, our challenge was to use the LOVE cut from the HOME ACCENTS Cricut cartridge but we HAD to make the cut in BROWN............I was totally thrilled because I LOVE to use brown.

Once again I thought a little more OUT OF THE BOX (LOL) and decided to use my new CRICUT CUTTABLES STAMP KIT which I got over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK. I cut the LOVE in PINK for the shadow and then stamped it in brown.

I used the CTMH More To Adore paper pack which is pink and brown and the glitter paper is from Doodlebug (WOW I love that stuff). I also used the Martha Stewart edge punch and a small EK flower punch with some Swarovski crystals in the middle. Oh and these amazing frosted cards are from SHORTCUTS. I am loving these acrylic cards.....they are beautiful!!!

BASEBALL LAYOUT........Habana 2009

Very excited to get back to my layouts!!!!! It's been WAY TOOOOO LONG!! My son started his Winter 09 season a couple of weeks ago. I made this layout using the LARGE FRAME from THE CUTTING CAFE. This frame was so easy to use. After I picked out the paper, I printed the frame and hand cut it.

I also used the following which I purchased from HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK:
Cricut Expression
Base Camp Font cartridge
Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge
Sizzix Large Frame
Diamond Glaze

I painted the frame with white and blue acrylic paint.

This week, I will work on the second page of this layout so stay tuned. I am also taking this layout to the park on Wednesday for the game so all his teammates and coaches can sign it for him ;)

LOVE..... (BBTB scallop heart challenge)

This project was so fun. I used my new kit from SWEETARTS PAPERIE. Everything about it is just so yummy....the paper, ribbons, diecuts....... There are only a limited amount of kits available so make sure to get yours fast. So this week over at the BBTB our challenge was to use the scallop heart from the Doodlecharm Cricut Cartridge and what a better way to put this kit to use.

I used my Cricut Expression and Doodlecharm Cartridge which I purchased over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK. They still have some amazing prices on the cartridges so make sure to visit them.

WEDDING CARD ........ Pazzle-ish-ous!!!!!!

When using my Pazzle machine last night for the star card and cupcake box, I dared myself to use the Pen Tool for my Pazzles. I have never used it and thought it was time LOL It did take a little practice to get it just perfect but it worked.

For this card I typed the sentiment on my Pazzles using the SNF Classy Charm Font and then chose the PEN TOOL in my Pazzles and voila - it wrote it for me......I was so very excited to see this tool at work. My husband was passing by and said "WOWWWW.... now that is COOL!!!!" I told him "Don't get any ideas buddy" LOL He always tells me I have the coolest gadgets and I must to say......he is right!!!!

I love to shop at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK - they are totally reliable and always have EXACTLY what I need for all my project needs whether it's making cards, altering items or doing my scrapbook layouts. For this project I used: PAZZLES machine, Pen Tool and Tim Holtz black distressing ink which I purchased at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK.

The additional items are: CTMH Silhouette paper pack, Nestabilities, EK Sucess flower punch (in two sizes), Swarovski crystals in black and Offray ribbon.

The frosted card is from SHORTCUTS. I am now addicted to using these acrylic cards and material. You will not be disappointed in these products - they are awesome!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.........

I have seen some really amazing cards and projects using Acrylic so earlier in the week I placed my ordered from SHORTCUTS. I ordered some sheets in clear acrylic and frosted acrylic as well as the already pre-made cards.

When I received my package I could not wait to use this stuff and as you can imagine, the creative juices started flowing immeidately LOL.

I made this birthday project for THE CUTTING CAFE. I used the STAR SHAPED CARD and the single CUPCAKE HOLDER. I filled the cupcake holder with candy and a gift card. For the star, I used the ALL OCCASION printable stamps also from TCC. This place has some really amazing stamps and cutting files so make sure to check it out.

My favorite part about this project was that I was able to use my PAZZLES!!!! wooooo hooooo I LOVE this machine. The possibilities are endless here.

I bought my Pazzles over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK and let me just say.......this place ROCKS!!!!!! Their service is amazing. If you have been thinking about getting the Pazzles, I say GO FOR IT!! Yes it takes some time to learn it but it truly is a GREAT machine!!

Last night I dared myself to use the PEN tool for the Pazzles......stay tuned for the project coming soon (wink)
