HARVEST FEST AT SCHOOL

This past Friday my kids had their Harvest Fest at school and they got to dress up in their costumes. Kasi was a Monarch butterfly and Damian was an Army soldier.....here are some pictures from that morning.

YES I added TONS of iamroses and prima flowers to Kasi's head piece and I also added lots of orange and gold stickles to them.

ANOTHER FRAME!!

For this frame I used a new line of paper I had never used before.....it's called Glitz and it can be found over at GENERATIONS CRAFTING!!!

Last week I received a surprise package from my friend Regina from AllThingsPretty .....she sent me some die cuts from some new dies, some lace and some super cute stamped tags - THANKS REGINA!!! I really wanted to use this chandelier cut so I painted it black, added some beaded medium and while still wet, I added black glitter.

"ABIGAIL" (BABY PICTURE FRAME"

Just a quick post today with a new altered frame.

One of the girls that works in another office on our floor is having a baby, so today we are all giving her a lunch/baby shower. I started getting the flowers together, pulling the paper and before I knew it, I was done with the frame.

I used the Basic Grey Kioshi paper to cover the frame, painted it with a mix of antique white acrylic paint and water to give it the white wash look. The flowers are ALL from iamroses.com - I am in love with these flowers. I buy them in white so that I can alter them to match my project. The flowers are altered using the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays in Ramblin Rose Pink; Magnolia Magenta Gold and Baby Azure Sea Asters misted very lightly. I also spayed the entire background paper with the Ramblin Rose Pink after I white washed it.

I used the scrap from the frame section to cut out the baby's name "ABIGAIL" using the Tim Holtz Vintage Alphabet Die.

Other Supplies: Websters Pages Lace; Martha Stewart Butterfly punches; Martha Stewart Lace border punch; glossy accents, Prima Say it in Pearls, Misc Sewing.

More altered frames to come.....hopefully this weekend I will make 3 frames for some very special friends. I just LOVE altering them. I also have to keep working on the ones for the teachers so you will be seeing lots of altered frames using new paper lines from GENERATIONS CRAFTING.

TIM HOLTZ IN THE HOUSE!!!!!!

This week I got to play with some new Tim Holtz embossing folders from Generations Crafting. I made 3 cards and a handing Pumpkin Patch frame to fit the 4 x 6 picture of my kids. Each year the school takes FALL pictures and I wanted to create a special frame for it.

I also used the Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stains in Witch's Potion Purple and Freaky Franken-Lime from the new Haunted Halloween collection to color the flowers and add to the embossed Halloween word card.

FAMILY FRAME...."Family is everything"

This year, I am starting early on the teachers Christmas gifts so this week for Generations Crafting I altered a wooden frame from Michael's for one of my daughters teachers. Here is a picture of the 12 x 12 frame (It will fit up to a 5 x 7 photo):





Well if you notice, this frame can either be hung on the wall or stood on a table......I took all the screws off the frame, sanded it and painted it with Acrylic paint in a mushroom color (so beautiful). Then I chose this beautiful paper from the Basic Grey Pyrus Collection (Oblate) and I placed it on the frame, traced out the opening for the picture and cut it out. Once I had the paper ready, I placed the frame aside and started working on the pattern paper....choosing flowers, pearls, stamps, inks, pins, etc.

Here is the final frame......unfortunately when I put it all together, I noticed I had set it all up UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! LOL....these things ONLY happen to me LOL.....I just started laughing.....what was I to do right????? The final frame can only be hung now instead of having the option of placing it on a table or hanging but it's OK....I really love the way it turned out.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!!!!!

Yes...it's that time of year and I'm back with some Breast Cancer Awareness projects to share with everyone!!!!! I have several friends, that I love dearly, which have suffered from this disease and other cancers and every night I pray for each and every one of them.......They are the inspiration behind my projects......I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!!
