AMAZING DAY WITH DONNA DOWNEY!!!!

......all my beautiful friends and the fabulous people at The Paper Niche!!!!

As most of you already know, all Kasi wanted for her Birthday was to meet her idol Donna Downey and to take the Butterfly canvas mini album class this weekend.

When Donna walked into the room, Kasi was ecstatic.....she didn't stop smiling all day long. Donna was a sweetheart....she talked to Kasi, took as many pictures as Kasi wanted, autographed ALL our goodies.........she was just AMAZING!!!! I have no words to express how grateful I am for all the love and support she showed my daughter.

I want to give a special THANK YOU to my beautiful and wonderful friends Ana, Dayami, Olga, Marlene and Yeya. They showered my daughter with tons of gifts and they were so happy to spend the day at the class with us. We rode to the Paper Niche with Ana and Dayami and all we did was laugh in the car - we had such a fun filled day!!!

Tammy, the Co-owner of The Paper Niche was so amazing and sweet. If you live in the South Florida area or plan to visit soon, you NEED to stop by her store.....it's filled with the latest and greatest......it's like being in scrapbook heaven!!

She is so excited about her birthday gift. As you may have already read in previous posts, we are going to be attending Donna Downey's new Butterfly Canvas mini album class. Not only was I able to get the last two spots in the class, thanks to Donna, her amazing assistant Kandi and wonderful husband Bill, Donna mailed Kasi a hand written Birthday note which I put in her card.

THANK YOU DONNA, KANDI AND BILL......for making Kasi's birthday so very special!! She has not stopped talking about it all morning.

KASI'S BIRTHDAY CARD!!!

Just the other day I gave birth to the most beautiful little girl in the world.........and tomorrow, she will be TEN!!!!! They grow up WAY to fast :(

Each and every day I thank God for both my children and my wonderful husband. I am even more grateful that my daughter loves crafting as much as I do and that my son has a passion for baseball and cars as much as his dad. We share very special/unforgetable moments together and we will cherish them forever.

Speaking of special moments, her birthday gift, as you may have read in my prior post, is Donna Downey's new Butterfly mini album class which is next Saturday 2/26 at my LSS. She has no clue that I was able to get the two last spots in the class.

I was so inspired by the page Donna Downey made in her journal last week for Inspiration Wednesday, that I totally lifted the idea for Kasi's Birthday card. I KNOW she's going to love it but what she is going to love even more is........OK I can't tell you BUT stay tuned and sometime tomorrow I will post a short video of her opening the card.......

Donna Downey inspired ♥ Mother/Daughter aprons (HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL!!!!!

This past weekend was so amazing. My daughter and I have been planning for a few weeks now to make our very own Donna Downey inspired aprons. I had placed an order for some Donna Downey foams stamps....iron ons, etc. My beautiful friend Rose did a video of her altered apron which turned out AMAZING!!! I was so excited when I saw her post because these aprons were on our mind.

On Friday, Kasi and I put down brown paper on the floor and set out all the goodies. First thing Saturday morning, we started our aprons. WE HAD A BLAST!!!!! After our aprons she wanted to work on painting some canvas pieces and we did just that. We spent the ENTIRE day crafting. She is truly inspired by Donna Downey. As soon as I come in the door from work on Wednesdays she tells me...."uuummm mom, it's Inspiration Wednesday" and after dinner, we watch the videos together. We have even gone back and watched all the videos Donna has on her You Tube channel. (We ♥ Donna Downey!!!!)

Donna will be in FL on the 26th of February and Kasi told me that all she wanted for her birthday (2/20) was to take Donna's canvas mini album class but I told her that I waited to long and that the class was "SOLD OUT". Well about a week and a half ago I called the LSS and booked that last two spots available for the Saturday class. I can't wait to see her face when she finds out we are actually going to not only MEET Donna Downey, but we will be attending the class. I'm super excited. I have a special surprise for her but I will post it on February 20th......

Anywho - I hope everyone had a beautiful Valentine's day with their loved ones......I know I did!!!!

This is Kasi's apron....she made is all by herself except the sewing of the laces - I did that for her. She chose her colors, the canvas bird, flowers and stamps. I LOVE my little crafter!!!!
