YOU can do anything

TGIF my friends!!!!!  Looking forward to my weekend (hopefully it doesn't rain).  We're going to take our kids to the park to play some hoops....yes basketball!!  Of course my camera will come with me so I can take LOTS of pictures.

OK the final layout for this week I REALLY LOVE......I think I've said that on each post this week - hahahahahah.   I got my inspiration from Nichol Maguorik (of course). She did THIS layout and the sketch was perfect for the pictures I had....THANKS NICHOL!!!!   These pictures were kind of dark so I chose the grey and ivory papers that I've been wanting to use from the October Afternoon Fly A Kite collection.  I pulled the red from one of the pictures that shows the railing on the rink.  Other than that there were really no other colors.

Supplies:  Silhouette SD ♥; Title is a Kerri Bradford design;  October Afternoon Fly a Kite paper collection; Paper Trey Ink Cardstock; Maya Road frosted acetate journaling tags; Ali Edward stamps; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Martha Stewart border punch; CTMH Ink in Cranberry; PTI Black Ink.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.....have fun creating!!!

"every LITTLE THING you do IS Special"

You have NO idea how happy I am to be scrapping again!!!! This week will be special because I have a layout to post EVERY day (M-F) but I can't promise that this will happen every week. I will try my hardest to get at least two new layouts posted each week. My sweet and super talented friend DAYAMI and I really went scrap happy this weekend, so be sure to check out her blog to see her awesome layouts.

Now for layout #2 ........ I created this page using another image from KERRI BRADFORD. (everyLITTLEthingyoudo.) I tell ya, her images are amazing and one of the formats she provides comes specifically for the Silhouette so there is no converting or messing around with trying to fix anything...LOVE IT!!! The word "IS" I cut using the American Typewriter font (already in my font library) and the word "SPECIAL" is an image from the Silhouette image store.

CHERISH THIS MOMENT!!

WOOOO HOOOOO....are you ready for a week full of scrapbook layouts??? Well this weekend I had a BLAST creating so watch out!!! Scrapbooking is my passion and the real reason I began my crafting journey. Anywho, a local friend of mine Dayami and I challenged ourselves to creating layouts for our Project Life albums using our new amazing machine, THE SILHOUETTE SD. Have I said how much I LOVE MY SILHOUETTE???? It's the BEST machine out there. The cuts are so clean and perfect. My SBFF, Christina, from Creations with Christina, also received her Silhouette on Friday and she too spent the weekend playing and creating. Wait till you see the awesome layout she created with it. Now, I'm also a tab bit obsessed with Kerri Bradford's digital image kits. I can't get enough of them and each time she reveals a new one, I want it LOL. Almost every layout I created this weekend features one of her designs......she's amazing!!

My family and I took a mini vacation to St. Augustine this past March and I took a picture of my kids walking down an old cobble stone street - it was my favorite picture and I knew I wanted to create a single photo layout with it. I had purchased the camera image from the Silhouette store as well as the word CHERISH which went perfect with the theme. The picture is a 4 x 6 and matted with a cream cardstock. I also printed the same picture in a smaller version and added it to the lens of the camera to give the effect as if you were looking through the lens. I also used the tab "Always Together" which I cut from the Silhouette using the print and cut feature. Then I added the word cluster "way too cute officially undeniably true" from Kerri Bradford.

Other supplies: Cosmo Cricket pattern paper, October Afternoon pattern paper, Ali Edward stamps (my other obsession thanks for Nichol Maguorik), Brads, circle punch, Martha Stewart Leaf border punch, glossy accents, Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Now I leave you with some pictures and remember, I will be posting a new layout every day this week so don't forget to visit again.

Hugs, T

LET'S SKATE ✭

Lots of exciting things going on....first of all yesterday was my 13th wedding anniversary. God has truly blessed me with the most amazing husband and our two beautiful children.....I LOVE THEM to the moon and back!!! There are times in my life when things may go wrong, but THEY always make it better.

Also yesterday I started Cross Fit......uuummmmm IT WAS HARD AS HECK. I didn't think I could do it......I got a little sick and I even cried when I got home but guess what....I'm going back today. This will be a challenging week for me but I "CAN" DO IT!!!!!

Now for the good stuff......this weekend I worked on a layout of course inspired by the one and only Nichol Magouirk....I swear that girl can scrap :) I even tried journaling with typing and stamping together.....very COOL!! My title "SNAPSHOT....Capturing Every Moment" came from the awesome KERRI BRADFORD. It's one of her freebies. As soon as I saw that image, I knew it was perfect for these pictures of my son. YES, it's not a baseball layout, but he really is an ALL AROUND sports kind of guy. You'll be seeing more of Kerri's images on my layouts because I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!! She also has an AWESOME set for Project Life (which I purchased) and can't wait to incorporate them in my album. If you haven't check out her blog click HERE....you won't be sorry.

Can you tell I've been totally enjoying my Silhouette SD? It's the most amazing machine EVER. The cuts are so clear and sharp, they look like I used a steal die to cut them out....now that's AWESOME!!!!! Good Bye Cricut and HEEEEEELO Silhouette!!! I'm so glad they made it MAC compatible and the software is so easy to use. I created the words "Let's Skate" from one of the fonts already in my computer (Wendy Font).

Supplies: Silhouette SD, American Crafts black cardstock, October Afternoon Rocket Age collection, Star Sizzix die, Nestabilities Labels Four, Papertrey Ink wood buttons, Recollections glitter brads, Embroidery Thread, Bazzill Cardstock, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, EK Success Scallop punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, misc sewing.

The following are the Ali Edward, Technique Tuesday stamp sets I used:
LOVE, Ali; Are We There Yet; Ordinary Days; It's In the Details.

Thank you all for taking the time to stop by my blog.

Have a fabulous week!!

Hugs, T

LAUGH.....Card using Silhouette SD

I've been playing around and discovering new things every day about the Silhouette SD. I joined the Yahoo Group and the information over there is GREAT!!!

I'm super excited about Kerri Bradford's digital images - WOW she has some beautiful stuff....she's an amazing artist. Every few weeks she posts free downloadable files which come in various formats. Last night I downloaded all the free files and imported them into my Silhouette Library. That is when I decided to create a card using some of these wonderful images.

Both the word "LAUGH" and the Sunflower shape, I found on her blog listed under "FREEBIES". You can check her blog out HERE. THANKS KERRI!!!

Supplies: Echo Park pattern paper, PTI cardstock, Prima E-Line pearls, EK Success border punch, misc sewing.

The card is simple but I really love the way it turned out. I plan on creating some layouts this weekend and of course making the titles with my Silhouette.....maybe even use some of Kerri's word collages which I LOVE!!!!!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

Hugs, T

PROJECT LIFE 6X12 LAYOUT: "US"

OK bloggers......here it is.....my 6 x 12 layout. I really had a great time creating this one. I love the size. It worked out perfect since I had used Photoshop to organize my pictures vertically. I also added a black border vs the white. The stamps read "this is what I want to remember the most...US" and "CAPTURE the minutes & moments"

I challenged myself to mix and match scrap papers from my stash. I have to admit it was hard but I DID IT!!! The papers I used are from: Cosmo Cricket, My Minds Eye, Imaganisce, Stampin Up and SEI. I always admire how Nichol Maguorik can so easily pick out papers for her layouts that are not necessarily from the same collection so she was the inspiration behind my challenge.

Other Supplies: Nestabilities, Martha Stewart border punch, Prima Lace, Recollections flowers, Basic Grey Brad, Ali Edward Stamps, Thickers, misc sewing.

Looking forward to the weekend so I can create a few more layouts for my Project Life.

Hope you all have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by my blog!!! See you soon!!

Hugs, T

MAKE A WISH....(Silhouette SD)

Well here is my first project using the Silhouette SD........OMG I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS MACHINE!!! I wish I had gotten it sooner. It's SOOOOO much better than my Cricut Expression - WOW!!!!!!! The cuts are truly amazing. On this card I made such a thin cut for the outline of the word "WISH" as well as the birthday candle and it cut like butter. My Cricut would have eaten that paper!!!!

Check out this close up picture (Look at how CLEAN that cut - WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!):

A HUGE THANK YOU to Nichol Maguorik for her amazing layouts and all her inspiration. She also took the time to answer a few Silhouette questions I had, which I thought was so sweet of her.

Supplies: Bazzill Textured Cardstock, American Crafts Heavy Weight Textured cardstock in Black, October Afternoon pattern paper, Vellum, Misc Sewing, all cuts including the card itself are from the Silhouette store.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous night!!

Hugs, T

PROJECT LIFE 8X8 LAYOUT: "U & me"

Just sharing my other side of the 8 x 8 layout that I posted yesterday. I am a typical 12 x 12 layout girl BUT with Project Life, I feel like doing things differently so I've been playing around with different size layouts and I'm SUPER happy with the results. They are a challenge for me BUT it's been totally worth it. With these smaller layouts, I've also challenged myself to use my scraps. YES..... I've dug into my scrap stash to create. I'm really having a blast!!

Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock, SEI pattern paper, Twinery Twine, Circle punches, Jute, Nestabilities dies, Seam Binding Ribbon, Buttons from my "Button Vault", Recollections plastic alphas, Making Memories cork Alpha set for the "&", EK success scallop border punch, Ali Edwards Favorite Memories stamp set, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Tiny Attacher, Vellum.

Here are the pictures and again, I'm sorry for the poor quality - there is some glare on these pictures as well. Tomorrows pictures are better - promise!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.
