When the kids started school in August, we all prepared for an extremely hard year.  Kasi would start her IB program in 6th grade, which includes ALL Advanced courses, and Damian would start his ALL day Gifted program in 5th grade.  It has been quite an adventure so far....projects, reports, trips to the library and lots and lots of studying but in the end, it has paid off the first nine weeks.  We are such proud parents!!!  Both Kasi and Damian made the Honor Roll - wooooo hooooo!!!!  It's difficult enough to make the Honor Roll let alone making it in advanced and gifted courses.  We are flabergasted!!!!!

Since Kasi is in Middle school, she no longer receives certificates, but here is a picture of Damian....ALL SMILES!!!!

This weekend we will be taking a little break from school to decorate our home.  Hubby and I have taken the boxes down from the attic and we have positioned the tree where it will go.  Last night Kasi and I strung the lights while the boys studied math.  Here is a picture of my Kasi acting silly with the tree skirt lol:

After the boys did their math thing, they started creating paracord bracelets.  Hubby had seen these and wanted one so he checked out YouTube and learned how to make them.  They created father/son matching bracelets...they are so cute!!!  You see....even hubby is creative lol

Lastly, this past weekend was my nephews baptism.  What a special occasion!!!  The keepsake my sister-in-love chose for each family was this gorgeous cross ornament....LOVE the idea!!!  I just HAD to add it to the tree this morning ♥♥

I am so blessed to have the family I have.  We have our ups and downs, but in the end, we are family!!

Hope you all have a spectacular day!!

Hugs, T

  1. You have a beautiful family, congratulations to the kids (and parents too) on making the honor roll!

  2. Hi sweet Ms. Teri, I have so much respect for you as a parent. I don't know how you do it. That is one great accomplishment WOW. Honor roll in the gifted program. You and hubby must be so proud of both your children. You are so right, it all comes down to family. Sending blessings.
