LIVE...LOVE...LAUGH... (BBTB Rose challenge)

The past two weeks have been so amazing..........I recently got together with my Jr. High School friends for a Roller Skating party and let me just say it was wonderful seeing everyone after 25 years!!!!! I didn't get to roller skate but this will not be my last time going. I am getting together next weekend with 3 of my friends to have lunch and remember the good times.

OK now back to business. After enjoying my weekend, I sat down to do the BBTB and realize I did next weeks instead of this week LOL......needless to say I had to do some extra crafting today.

This week we had to use the beautiful ROSE from the INDIE ART Cricut Solution Cartridge.

Here is a list of products I used which can be purchased over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK:
Cricut Expression
Indie Art Cricut Solutions Cartridge
Basic Grey Rub-Ons
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink

Additional items include: Pattern Paper from DCWV Green tack; Offray Ribbon, Hemp

To see other project using this Rose - check out the BBTB HERE.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Here is a Get Well Soon card I made last night for someone very special.

I paper is from the new GREEN DCWV Stack.

I also used: Frame Sizzix die but I used the crease pad so that it would not cut all the way through and I also used the GET WELL SOON from the All Occassions Cuttleug Embossing Folder/die Kit. The GET WELL SOON is also covered with Diamond Glaze for a shinny look. These can be found over at HALLMARK SCRAPBOOK.

Yesterday I taught a 4 card and matching envelope class as my local scrapbook store and I had a blast. My students were ALL so sweet and talented. I made circle sentiments for all of them for their cards and they asked that I please give them instructions on the HOW TO. I know I said I would post yesterday but it was my son's birthday and I just didn't get a chance so here it is.

Hugs to all,

Here is a step by step with picures........I used MS Word for MAC but I am sure they are the same or at least very close....

On the tool bar you are going to choose:
"Word Art"

Usually once you choose WORD ART, the Wort Art toolbar will appear at the top, if not you can go to VIEW, TOOL BAR and choose WORD ART.

Next you choose the STYLE of letters - plain, with shadows, etc.

After you choose the Style letters a screen will appear where you will type in the sentiment you want, choose your font and size. After you type in the sentiment, click OK and it will appear on your page.

Next you will get your sentiment in a circle. In the WORD ART tool bar there is an icon that looks like this:

you will highlight the icon and choose the FULL CIRCLE - click it and your sentiment will be a full circle.

Your sentiment will then look like this:

Next you have to choose the size of the sentiment by choosing FORMAT on the toolbar, click on "BORDERS AND SHADING" and then click on "SIZE"

I choose 3" x 3" for this sentiment just as an example.

Once you click OK your sentiment will be in a circle like this:

If you run the cursor over the letters a little hand will appear - this grabs the sentiment and loves it anywhere on the page:

It may seem like a lot of steps but after you do it a few times, it becomes easier.

To edit the sentiment, just double click on the words and you can edit the words.

Hope you all have fun with the new technique.

Hugs, TeriBeri

2 CARDS FOR...... 2 Sketches 4 You!!!!!

FINALLY!!!  I did my sketches for Kazan this week.....I hope I am not late.

I was asked to make two special cards for a friend so I decided to use both of the sketches Kazan and Laura have this week on 2S4Y.  Those two girls and their designers ROCK all the weekly sketches.  You MUST go check out their site.

The font on the Get Well Card is from SCRAPNFONTS - it's the LD Imagine That font - soooooo adorable!!!

On the HAPPY DAY card, the sentiment and little bird is from a stamp set from Heidi Grace.
Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend!!
