December Daily - Post 3

It's going to be a loooooong night!!!  My father in law is in the hospital and my husband is with him.  The kids are sleeping so I am taking advantage of this quiet time!!!  Finished some of the Kerri Bradford 8 x 8 Storyboards for my December Daily and I wanted to share some pictures from tonight.

After dinner the kids wrote their letter to Santa on the tags I had made.  Here are two of the pictures I will be adding:

I really wanted to capture our Christmas tree in the background.   I love the way they turned out.
Kasi writing her letter: (My righty)

Damian writing his letter: (My lefty - it was a little more challenging to take his
pictures because he kept covering up the entire tag with his little hands hahahahahaha)

This picture here was inspired by my hero Nichol Magourik.  She just did a layout
of her daughter holding a small Santa in her hands and I just knew
I wanted to do something similar with the kids holding
their letters to Santa in front of the Christmas Tree.  Thanks my hero!!!

I am truly loving the process of my December Daily.  This Friday I will catch up with all my journaling and a couple layouts I have to complete for it but other than that, it's coming along nicely.

Hope you all have a wonderful week & weekend....see you all on Monday!!

December Daily - Post 2

My scrappy friends....I have had the best weekend!!  I spent most of the day Saturday working on my December Daily.  I'm trying to get most of my divider pages done as well as getting a lot of cuts completed on my Silhouette to make the "daily" process easier.  All I have to do now on a daily basis is just take the picture, print and journal.

Off topic LOL......They are starting a new "Clarity" series at our church that is just amazing.  Every time I leave there, I feel refueled and ready to tackle my new week.  I am truly blessed and feel so happy all the time.

OK enough rambling, here are lots of pictures I want to share with you.  This post is picture heavy so be prepared hahahaha.  I have completed my first 4 days of my DD except for the journaling which I will do tonight.  I have added journaling to some of the pictures in photoshop.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Cover page:

For the cover page I used Tim Holtz Grungeboard numbers and letters.
I painted them, sprayed them with Lindy's Stamp Gang and added LOTS of Rock Candy Stickles.
Then I used the December Daily Ali Edward stamp set and stamped the sentiment:
"Capturing the magical moments in December"
I stamped that on a banner die from MFT, added a brad and distressed with Vintage Photo.

Cover page:  I still have to finish it but I have not decided
what I want to insert in the two 4x6 slots......hhhmmmmm maybe something
Silhouette'ish ... hahahahaha
The Title:  December Daily 2011 is from the SIL

First divider page.  I still have to add "1" to it.

Day 1:  I have to add the journaling to the side strip.   Those that know my family well
know that I have a son who is OBSESSED with baseball.  According
to him "Baseball IS LIFE!!!! so you KNOW my December Daily had to have a
baseball page.  Coincidently, December 1st he had a game.
The final game of the season was Saturday 12/3.  THE SHARKS ARE UNDEFEATED BABY!!
They are having a mini championship series which consists of two more games then it all
starts up again in January :)

Day two:  I have to add the number to the
divider page.  I will add it inside one of the circles.  I also have
to add a little journaling on the side strip.  My December Daily would
not be complete without a page of our "Cutie".  She had a deep dental
clearning done Friday and she was groggy the entire night - hense the pictures to the left LOL

I printed the picture in 6x8 and added a bit of journaling to it.  Just a random picture
of Cutie which I took last week.  It says:
"Our Princess "Cutie".
The one that makes our family complete!!
We love you!!

Day three:  I have to add the number to the divider page and
finish the 8 x 8 page on the left.
Kasi and I took Cutie to a new groomer.  HE IS AWESOME!!!  Then
we took her to get her picture taken with Santa.

The number border is cut using a Kerri Bradford design and the
"3" has gold stickles so that it stands out since it's the third day.

Day four:  Our home decorations.  I have to add the number to the
divider page but since it's a bingo card, I may change it out to something else.
I printed out a picture of my tree 6x8 and added the journaling  right
on the picture.  Thank you Dayi for showing me this fabulous idea ♥ (*wink*)
The journaling says:
This December we will be documenting
the 25 days leading up to Christmas.
We are truly blessed each and every day.  Thank you Jesus.
You are the reason for the season!!!

The rest of the pictures are just random divider pages that I ♥.

I created this divider from an acetate 12 x 12 that I cut down to the exact
size of my refill pages.  I tool two paper sacks, trimmed them, sewed them shut
and added stamping, sticker letters and bling.  I created the tags for the
kids to write down their letter to santa and leave it in the stocking.
"Santa always returns the letters to mommy so she can save them" (*WINK*)

For this specific divider, I cut down my 8x8 refill page, added a strip
of the acetate, used double sided sticky take, added charms, sewed on some
trim on the end, did some misc sewing and added pearl bling.

This divider page is actually an acetate I purchased at Joanns.  It's has white
swirls and bling along the edges and a birthday cake.  I covered the birthday cake
with card stock, added pattern paper and these glitter chipboard letters.
The back side of this is the same except it has the word JOY in green glitter.

OK folks hope you have enjoyed my first 4 December Daily pages.  On Monday, December 12th, I will post pictures of days 5-11.  Hopefully I will have all the numbers added to the divider pages as well as all the daily journaling.  BIG HUGS TO ALL!!! T

Ok so here is a sneak peak of my cover. I will post weekly the progress of my book and in the end, I will make a video.

I'm using several collections for this album: Teresa Collins, My Minds Eye and MM. I am also going to be using Ali Edward stamps and other embellishments I have in my stash.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Some projects :)

I's been forever but I've been busy with my yummy family!!  I have taken a little bit of time to create here and there.  A few weeks ago I got together with my super sweet friend Dayami and we created this fabulous canvas together.  It's a class she won so she invited me over to play.  I just LOVE all the technique we learned.  (Thank you my beautiful friend...I had a BLAST!!!)

Then a couple months ago Nichol Maguorik created this amazing decorative home decor frame using Kerri Bradford's - This Everything Shape Kit.  Both of those girls totally ROCK!!  Dayami also created one for her house and it's GORGEOUS!!!  Check it out HERE.  This is my version:

I made that frame in 30 minutes!! I was rushing out the door because the kids and I were getting together with my sister and nephews at the park.  It was super fun to make.

Here is a picture of the next layout ;)  Kasi, Damian, Dylan and David.  Those 3 D's are dangerous together LOL

and Kasi with her beautiful Aunt.....yes that's my baby sister.  I love her so much.  We had the most amazing day together!!

Hope everyone has a great week.

I'm a little obsessed with Pinterest lately thanks to my super fabulous friend DeeDee (thanks girlie).  I have found a few projects on there that I have re-created.  My first project is this candy jar:

The original project shows 3 jars (different sizes) and it was Halloween theme.  The letters "B""O""O" hung from the lid and the wood pieces were painted black.  You can see the original project HERE.  I will be making several of these for the teachers for Christmas and filling them with Peppermint candy.

Then last week, DeeDee posted a few projects made with paint chips from Home Depot.  Check out her blog HERE for inspiration.   What a brilliant idea.   I immediately went to Pinterest and was inspired by THIS butterfly project.   While I was at Walmart picking up some easels on Sunday, I stopped in the paint dept.   Kasi and I chose colors to match her pink, orange, green and turquoise.  I love the way the colors go from light to dark.   The frame is also from Walmart.  Now I leave you with a couple pictures.

If you haven't checked out Pinterest, YOU HAVE TO!!!  It's awesome.....and very addictive- hee hee!!!

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!!

Hugs, T

This is the frame on the shelf with the 3 Donna Downey autographed artwork and the matching toss pillow on her bed.  The toss pillow was the inspiration behind the colors in her room:

Happy Tuesday my sweet friends!!!  Today I want to share with you this layout I started last week of my nephew Gabriel..... Isn't he a cutie pie?? I lifted this idea from Nichol Maguorik of course. I admire her style of scrapbooking so much. She totally inspires me.

This weekend I also worked on a frame for my daughters room....something simple but super fun.

Chit chat soon!

Hugs, T

These are the die cuts I used from the SILHOUETTE ONLINE store:

I also used this KERRY BRADFORD Storyboard.  I cut it in half and then cut the left section in half also to add the journaling in between the pictures:

YAY...I FINALLY finished the layout of my daughter.  I had most of it done except for the journaling and some misc. embellishments.

In order to finish this project, I needed to buy some ink for my printer as well as some photo paper.  I've been collecting some Print and Cut images from the Silhouette that I was dying to use like the bar code seen in this layout "Priceless Moments".

Now I leave you with some pictures.....ENJOY!!

Ok friends, this is the card I was talking about on my last post.  I really LOVE these Gorjuss girls stamps...they are super cute.  I've had them for so long and just now got around to playing with them.

I always have a hard time coloring black hair but I think this one came out OK - I do need to keep practice though.  I also did misc sewing along the edges of my card front.  I masked her and stamped the background using a grid and flourish Hero Arts stamp.  Then I added a label using my SU punch and stamped a Happy BDay sentiment.  I used Antique Linen Tim Holtz Distress Ink for all my stamping.  The paper is from Basic Grey.

Ok that's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by my blog....see you all soon!!

Hugs, T
