Got to spend the entire day with my parents while the kids were in the pool. Later in the afternoon my niece was getting ready for her prom. She looked spectacular...her hair, makeup, the shoes and OMG the dress. Her boyfriend looked sharp too :) It was such an emotional moment for me - I even cried....I LOVE that girl as if she were my very own daughter.

Here are some pictures.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!!!

LAYOUT: "Your laughter makes our heart smile......."

I'm back with another layout!! WOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I'm so happy to be crafting again and making layouts for my Project Life album. I'm just in love with this system. I get to add the pictures and incorporate layouts of all sizes.

For this particular layout I used the My Minds Eye stack (Life Stories - I love that this entire stack is printed on Kraft Cardstock), Bazzill cardstock, Prima lace, Prima Say it in Pearls, Prima resin flowers; Martha Stewart Butterfly punches, Martha Stewart edge punch, Kraft cardstock, Cricut (for title), Tim Holtz distress ink (Vintage Photo), Making Memories alpha (for the 10), Making Memories brad, Glossy Accents & Copic Marker to color in the hearts. I also used the Tattered Angels butterfly mask and Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist in Phantom Fuchsia......can I tell you that this mist matched the paper PERFECT - I LOVE LSG products!!!

As to the photos, I used Photoshop Elements to arrange them on an 8 x 10 and then ordered the print from Walgreens - thanks to Kristina Werner for her awesome video tutorial - she ROCKS!!

Tomorrow I'll be posting another layout so stay tuned!!

Have a great's almost the long weekend - WOOT WOOT!!

Kasi's "Florida" school project

Well it's already HUMP DAY - wooooo hooooooo!!!!! Looking forward to my long weekend even though I'll be spring cleaning my bedroom and bathroom. We are going to paint and clean out "stuff". It's long overdue. I really want to try and scrap a little - lets see :)

I wanted to share with you a school project Kasi has been working on. Well it was actually a week long process of her making the paste out of salt, flour and water - then molding the states ( two coats and they each had to dry completely before painting). She embellished and painted over the weekend. All I did was weld the letters in my Gypsy and cut them out for her - she did everything else.

She needed icons for her Key Map and Map so after a little brainstorming I came up with the idea of using brads. They are small and cheap enough. I did a google search and came across a place called EYELET OUTLET. OMG if you are ever looking for a specific brad/eyelet you will find it here. They have really great prices and their customer service is amazing.

I wanted to say "THANK YOU" to my friend Ana for helping us out the Mickey Ear brads as well as the compass and scrapbook sand - they totally completed the project!!! THANKS GIRLIE - WE OWE YOU!!!!

Enjoy the pictures and see you tomorrow with another layout!!!! I have my mojo back so watch out LOL

Hi everyone - hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!! I crafted and crafted and crafted that means I'll be posting stuff all week for my blog buddies - woot woot!!! My friend Kathryn from Life on the {Scrap}Beach spent the day with me Saturday and we had a blast together - we talked and was so much fun!! She is super talented so be sure to check out her blog!!

I made this frame a few weeks ago for my neighbors daughter. I wanted to make her something special and different for her new home.

Love to alter these Michael's frames - they are so much fun. Used lots of Tim Holtz embellishments, I Am Roses flowers and even white washed the K & CO paper to give it a softer look.

Stay tuned this week for the layouts I created this weekend....just adding the final touches to them.

Chit chat soon!!

I'm so super excited to share with all of you my new craft room. It's taken a few months but I finally got everything where it belongs.....well.....not exactly LOL I still have tons of organization to do but for the most part, everything is in it's place.

For months I looked on YouTube and blogs for inspiration and ideas. My room is small so I needed lots of storage space. Then I came across a video by LESLEY LANGDON .....needless to say, I took quite a few ideas from her. My eyes were quickly drawn to the wall unit as well as the Ribba picture ledge. You can check out her video HERE. You can also click HERE to see the blog post of her fabulous room. I love her creations so be sure to follow her blog as well.

We first took down the small closet I had in the corner. I always dreamed of having my desk in the middle of the room but since the closet took up part of the room, it was just impossible. Once the closet came down, I had the space I needed.

My favorite part of the room has to be the plantation style shutter doors my husband installed in front of the sliding glass door. That idea came from my doctor's office. They recently moved their offices and in the waiting room, they put plantation shutters on the windows. We were originally going to put a false wall to cover the sliding glass doors but when I saw these shutters I immediately called my husband and asked him if it was possible to add these instead of closing off the doors completely. His answer was "For you anything"....aaawwww I know he is so cute.... I ♥♥♥ him!!! Not only do they give my room a nice shabby chic feel and look, I get the light coming in through the shutters and it looks totally amazing. I kept the same WHOLE WHEAT color of the walls and added a touch of turquoise to the decorations. I really love the calming feel of the room when I walk in. Having the white furniture and the white shutters gives it all such a yummy feel.....It's my quiet/soothing space and I LOVE IT!!!! I want to give a special shout out to my hubby for all his hard work and for making it all possible for me ♥.

OK now for some fun celebrate my room makeoever, I will be having a GIVEAWAY!!! I will be putting together a package with some of my favorite thing.....some lace and trims, a chipboard mini, buttons, bling, flowers, etc. I will also be including in this giveaway the one and only "EVERYDAY CARDS Featuring the Cricut Gypsy" DVD by Christina Thomas of CREATIONS WITH CHRISTINA - WOOOOO HOOOO!!!
